The city of lights has gained its title as the best food city of Europe. For people who do their research about the food before visiting a place, you have come to the right place. Food is the most important aspect of any country or city. The kind of food you consume will have a lasting impression on you and the people around you. Not many people get to visit the same city twice, so you might make the best of it while you are in Paris. With young chefs from all around the world, Paris offers the finest dining with reasonable prices. From traditional French cuisines to new and inventive meals, you can have it all in this city of lights.
Following are some places that will ensure that you have the best food with a fine dining experience that Paris has to offer:

  • Les Artlos
It is not situated in a remarkable or memorable area i.e. near the Gare du Nord train station. Regardless of its location, this tiny restaurants packs in their clients. Nobody minds the crowd or the location mainly because their services are the best considering the delicious food and the reasonable price. For the quality the provide, it is one of the best French restaurants that are reasonably priced in Paris. Thomas Brachet’s chalkboard menu changes on a daily basis and offers a mix of contemporary dishes.

  • La Meduse
Another restaurant in a comparatively less touristy area. Their staff is very cooperative and take their time in presenting you with the details of every dish. With tasty food you get a cozy environment, and all this is provided in a very reasonable price. It is a fairly small restaurant for all the traffic that they have inside it. It is full of locals and any restaurant that the locals appreciate, you know that it is a total gem. This place is always busy, and this restaurant has impressive ratings. This restaurant has a half bar in which you get exceptional drinks, but the food is a total steal with everything cooked to perfection. Not going to this place will be a total loss if you are in Paris. Their desserts are nice, but the main courses take the crown. With their oysters, cod fish and duck presented and prepared to perfection. You can’t go wrong with this place.

  • Paris–Brest at Chez Michel
This is a desert that was created in honor of a bicycle race between the two namesake countries back in 1891. Thierry Breton serves the best version of this dessert at his very own superb Bistro near Gare du Nord, called Chez Michel. The dessert is served as a split choux pastry and is garnished with caramelized nuts.

  • Steak at La Table d'Hotes de Hugo Desnoyer
The world’s best steak is a sirloin of Limousin beef, according to star butcher Hugo Desnoyer. It has the perfect texture and has an intense mineral-rich and herbaceous flavor to it. It is served medium-rare at his two restaurants and it is hands down the best steak that your taste buds will get to experience.

  • Pork Katsu Sandwich at Abri
You will find this restaurant as a busy place and that is because of its amazing Pork Katsu sandwich. It comes with a drink and a slice of cake served by a Japanese chef, Katsuaki Okiyama. It is extremely affordable and makes a seriously good lunch
Picture
  • Détour
It is situated in a relatively quite street not far from Pigalle. Chef Adrien Cachot’s first restaurant is clearly a total success. With their frequently changing menu and consistency with the quality and well-edited creativity, they serve the best beef heart that is a piece of offal that is served in fine slices with fromage blanc and harissa. It is very succulent and just makes your taste buds happy. Other dishes like powdered grilled onions, cod with a soubise etc all are up to the mark and very impressive.

  • Couscous at Zerda Café
Couscous is one of the France’s favourite dishes. This restaurant is a great weekend dining choice since many restaurants and not opened on the weekends. The featherweight semolina grains are garnished with your choice of lamb marinated in butter and honey- mechoui, grilled lamb sausages-merguez or vegetables.

  • Jambon-Beurre (Ham Sandwich on Baguette) at Chez Aline
If you are a sandwich lover and appreciate a good sandwich, this place is for you. They serve the best sandwiches in Paris at reasonable prices. The baguette stuffed with pot-au-feu meat and veg, or a bread veal cutlet with sauce gribiche will make your taste buds go crazy.

What To Do In Key West, Florida

Picture
We recently flew out to Key West for a few days to try out some of the local attractions, and we've put together a list of what to do (and what not to do) in Key West!

1.) Southpoint Divers
Since no trip to the (almost) Caribbean is complete without a nice scuba dive, we decided to check out Southpoint Divers, located on the very west of Key West. We went on an afternoon dive and explored a fairly shallow coral reef, although the dive lasted for hours and we even got to see a trumpetfish, alongside a magnificent school of blue tang. The captain was very friendly and the staff were quite helpful, as most of us hadn't been scuba diving before. This is a can't-miss for any trip to Key West. See our little video below:

2.) The Gates Hotel
We stayed at two different hotels during the trip, and one of them was the magnificent Gates Hotel. After a terrible day of traveling (a story for another time) we were welcomed with a delicious rum colada and given a little gift envelope full of free drinks and food to their local bars. We were also invited to check out their partner Rodriguez Cigar Factory along with Key West First Legal Rum Distillery. As a huge Hemingway fan, I enjoyed touring one of this great American author's houses as part of our stay. The beautiful beachside room, the welcoming and friendly staff, and the excellent drinks at their bar made this a five star stay. The pool was beautifully designed and the building itself was in a great location. Highly recommended for any Key West trip!

3.) Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel
The other hotel at which we stayed during our trip was the beachside Marriott hotel. Although the staff were friendly and the hotel was beyond clean, the atmosphere felt too "Martha's Vineyard" and not enough tropical resort. The architecture and general spirit among the staff felt made us feel more like tourists or someone on a business trip than like actual Key West regulars. A good stay, not as recommended as the Gates Hotel.

4.) Dry Tortugas State Park
Although we had to take a fairly lengthy ferry ride to reach Dry Tortugas, the awe-inspiring Fort Jefferson alone made up for that. 70 miles off of Key West, pristine marine life seemed to parade around for us as we snorkeled around. Although the ocean section of our visit at Dry Tortugas did not compare to our scuba trip with the Southpoint Divers, the essential beauty of the Key West ocean life remained present.
